Reach Out – An Endeavour by Interact Club |
| |
|
 |
All Nature is desire to serve:
The cloud serves, the wind serves, and the furrow serves.
Where there is a tree to be planted, plant it yourself;
Where there is error to correct, correct it yourself;
Where there is task shunned by others accept it yourself;
Interact Club, to us, means an opportunity to step into the sensitive world of meaningful service to reach out to others and to develop fellowship of young people united in the ideals of service. In the past year, the interactors took over small challenges in the form of various projects namely, Creating Greener Future by planting trees, a Go Green Rally to create awareness about environment. Distributing blazers to children who cannot afford them thus giving them a warmer winter This way the interactors were able to bring smile to many. This year we have initiated REACH OUT -- a project for the girls who are being given lessons in sewing by an NGO Helping Hand. This training will help such girls who have missed out on schooling. They will be able to earn a living through this training.
The interact club students of class 11 gave sewing machines to those who had done well in their training. With this little help, these girls will be able to do well for themselves and their families.

EXTENDING
WARMTH TO THE UNDERPRIVELEGED |
 |
The interact club
members showed a very king gesture towards the poor children by distributing
blazers to them on the morning of 17th December, 2010. The enthusiastic
interactors from Classes IX, X, and XI gave away the blazers to the poor
children in the age group of 4 to 13 years. The parents were also invited
and they were given blankets. Some poor children are being given free
education in the school. Such small gestures of kindness and compassion
make interactors realize their responsibility towards society. |

On 2nd November, 2010 the Interact Club took out a campaign in favour of enviroment
SAYING NO TO CRACKERS. Principal Sh.S.S.Chaudhary flagged of the campaign.
The students of Classes VI to VII started off with their Banners, Placards
and Posters like the soldiers of environment. There were around 1200 students
and they covered four and half kilometer of area. It started from school
moving towards Sec-14 Market and then moved towards Sec-15 Market, GeetaMandir,
Community Centre, Labour chowk and back to school. The residents also
encouraged these children and applauded their endeavour towards the society.
The young children were full of spirits and covered the entire area with
full zeal. The cappaign was successful as it was a positive step towards
environment . Deepawali is a festival of lamps and instead of crackers
the true message of Deepawali should come to each home i.e. the message
of love and harmony. |

| CREATING A GREENER
FUTURE |
 |
The
Interact Club members under the name 'SEHCHAR' planted saplings
on Sept 7, 2009. This was in order to create awareness about protecting
environment which is the need of the hour. They took oath to take care
of these saplings. This green brigade is going to under take many such
projects in order to create mass awareness. Mahatma Gandhi once said "
The earth, air, land and water are not an inheritence from our forefathers
but a loan from our children. If the students at the age of 15 or 16 years
can realise this responsibility of protecting the environment then
they will definitely hand over the planet to their future generation in
the same way as they received it." |
