The
primary segment of D.A.V. Public School, Sector-14, Faridabad celebrated
its Annual Cultural fiesta in the Mahatma Hansraj Auditorium on December
11, 2010. Nearly 1000 students participated and presented a spectacular
panorama entitled as “Toolika, Ek Paheli”.
This ballet cum dance-drama showcasing the fantasy of young minds,
riveted, mesmerized and enthralled one and all.
Shri Punam Suri, Secretary D.A.V.C.M.C. was the Chief Guest for the
occasion and Joint Commissioner of Police, Faridabad presided over
the function. The programme was also attended by various principals
of school in Faridabad and other distinguished dignitaries. The head
of the institution, Shri S.S.Chaudhary and the headmistress of Primary
Segment, Mrs. Hemlata Chaudhary welcomed all the guests.
In keeping with rich cultural heritage, the function began with the
kindling of the ceremonial lamp, amidst the pious chanting of hymns.
The Annual Report about the achievements of the school in the fields
of sports, academics and co-scholastic activities was read by Kritika,
Shreyasi and Upasana. Thereafter, there was a prize distribution ceremony
and the meritorious students who had excelled themselves in different
categories were honoured by the Chief Guest.
Not only this, the singing sensation of Faridabad, Tejinder Singh,
was also one of the attractions for the audience. The Chief Guest
in his address appreciated and blessed the students. To quote he said,”Always
stay healthy, always be busy, and always enjoy life to the fullest.”
He also apprised the gathering about the dedication and countless
contributions of the dynamic school principal, Shri S.S.Chaudhary.
The regional Director and Manager of the school, Shri K.L. Khurana
lauded the continuous efforts of the school in emotional, cultural
and aesthetic growth of the students. He also encouraged everybody
associated with the alma mater to achieve greater heights in times
to come.
